Diversity Statement
The members of the 'Evolutionary Morphology Research Group' (EvoMoRG) are dedicated to the scientific study of vertebrates of past geological periods and today, and their evolutionary history. As scientists and individuals, we believe that diversity and inclusion are integral parts of our science and society in general, regardless of age, culture, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, national origin, physical or mental difference, politics, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, or subculture. We therefore promote diversity in all areas of our activities and reject strongly and proactively prejudice and stereotyping wherever we encounter it in our profession. All members of our lab are committed to provide a welcoming working environment, wether in-person or online, wether in the office, lab or field for fostering open dialogue and the exchange of scientific ideas. Lab meetings serve as an effective forum to present and discuss science-relevant viewpoints in a respectful, civil, and fair way. Members of our lab will recognize others for their contributed work, which not only includes professional scientists, students, citizen scientists, technicians, volunteers, and external collaborators.
